The masters in accounting provide broad business management training with a focus on international accounting and controlling and application-oriented, international orientation. Application and approval procedures
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
- At least 210 ECTS points (applicants with 180 credits need to earn an additional 30 credits by means of an integrated internship, ie the Master’s degree is extended by one semester)
- Very good knowledge of English at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CERF) recommended by the Council of Europe
- (TOEFL iBT 87, IELTS 6.0, CAE, etc.)
- Proof that the study subjects of Accounting and Controlling (= managerial accounting) have been completed in the previous studies
- Motivational writing in English
- Curriculum vitae in English
- GMAT with a minimum of 600 points
(applies only to applicants who have completed their studies outside the EU / EEA countries, in which case no English proof is required).
About The Masters
In the first semester, the degree program consists of a basic course, and in the second semester a course of studies, either with a focus on controlling (= managerial accounting) or financial accounting. The third semester is reserved for the thesis and the oral examination.
If an internship is completed, the course is extended from three to four semesters.
Methodologically, the courses are characterized by seminar lessons. One focus is case studies. In this way, the application and deepening of acquired knowledge is trained on practical questions.

|Students who have earned less than 210 ECTS in their undergraduate studies must acquire the missing credits by means of an integrated internship for which 30 ECTS credits are awarded, following the theoretical phase and prior to the completion of the degree course. Students who have acquired 210 ECTS in their basic studies and have already completed an internship can (voluntarily) complete one (further) course. Students who have not received ECTS in their basic studies (mostly non-EU applicants) do not have to complete an internship.|
