The UAI/ELL Instructor will lead a classroom(s) of ELL students and WSU student tutors to facilitate an environment for learning and tutoring English. These classrooms can be either in virtual zoom setting or an in-person format.

  • Teach and prepare weekly lesson plans for tutors to execute in the ELL classroom that are tailored to different learners’ English learning goals and levels based on needs assessments.
  • Create and develop curricula, lesson plans, and teaching materials to aid students in developing skills and confidence in the English language.
  • Should be able to Coordinate a classroom of students at different levels of the English language learning and university-affiliated tutors. Foster a positive and challenging classroom climate for ELLs and tutors.
