What jobs can you do with an English degree? It’s a question I asked myself on a regular basis when I was in college. A large chunk of my university friends were studying things like Engineering and Science, however I elected to study English because I had been writing and enjoying creative pursuits from as far back as I could remember. There are many jobs you can do with an English degree but there are also some jobs which would surprise you because not many people know different degrees can lead there.
The jobs that you can do depend on your qualifications, but there are a few things you should know about the types of work available:
- The first thing to consider is whether or not you want to work in an office environment or if you want to work remotely. If you like being around people and working in a bustling office environment, then this job is for you. If you value your privacy and want to be able to work from home, then this job might not be for you.
- Some jobs require an advanced degree, while others do not. It’s important to determine which type of job would suit your educational background best before pursuing any further education or training.
- Some jobs pay well while others do not—this is something else that needs consideration before deciding which path will lead most directly toward financial stability and security for yourself and your family members (if applicable).

I am looking for a career change and want to know what jobs can you get with an associate’s degree. I am thinking about going back to school and getting an associate’s degree in order to help further my career, but I just don’t know what kind of jobs will be available once I graduate. Can anyone give me a list of the best careers that are available with this type of degree?
roofer
Roofers install, repair and maintain roofs. They must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects. They must also be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
camera operator
A camera operator is the person who operates a video camera during a film or television production. They work under the direction of someone else, usually a director or producer, and their job is to capture images on film or tape.
The requirements for this position include being able to focus lenses, operate cameras and video equipment, run cables for lights and microphones (if needed), set up dolly tracks for tracking shots, operate cranes and moveable platforms (if needed), load mags into magazines or change over magazines in between takes. In addition to these skills, it’s helpful if you have some knowledge of editing software like Final Cut Pro X or Avid Media Composer so that you can make sure all the shots are properly framed before they’re captured onto tape/film.
It’s also good practice when working with other people not only because they may need help with their jobs but also so they know how much longer they’ll have until lunch break!
librarian
If you’re interested in working with books and other materials, consider becoming a librarian. Librarians are information specialists who help patrons find the books, magazines, and other materials they need for their research projects. They recommend materials for patrons to read based on their interests and needs. They also help patrons learn how to use library resources like databases (which store articles from publications) or e-books (which can be read online). Finally, librarians help patrons find information online—for example by searching for a topic using search engines such as Google or Bing.
police officer
You may be looking for a career as a police officer, or you may have already found one and want to know more about the job. Whatever your situation, it’s important for you to know what being a police officer involves.
A police officer is responsible for protecting people and property. In addition to this overarching role, he or she can also help keep the peace by preventing crime before it happens or controlling unruly crowds during riots. phlebotomist
A phlebotomist is a healthcare professional who draws blood for testing or transfusion. Phlebotomists are trained to take blood samples from patients, and they often work in hospitals and other health care settings.
In order to become a phlebotomist, you’ll need to attend a specialized program that teaches you how to perform this job. You’ll learn how to collect and label samples of blood as well as store them properly until they’re sent off for testing or transfusion. You’ll also be taught how to administer basic first aid in case someone has an adverse reaction while being drawn on by your needle or syringe.
After completing your training program, you can begin applying for positions at medical facilities such as hospitals where there is an urgent need for trained phlebotomists who can draw accurate samples quickly without causing undue pain or trauma for their patients
special education teacher, preschool, kindergarten and elementary school
