Minecraft is most well known for being a sandbox game. We all just love to create and destroy! But what about the villagers? Surely they have jobs to do in Minecraft; there are just too many villager types to be unemployed. Here’s a list of what jobs each villager can have in Minecraft.
Villagers can have many jobs in Minecraft, as they are a human-like race. However, the most notable job is that of a farmer. This is because farmers farm crops and food for villagers to eat.
Other jobs include but are not limited to:
-Shopkeepers (sell items)
-Librarians (read books)
-Shepherds (herd animals)
What jobs can villagers have in Minecraft
Introduction
Minecraft offers players a wide-open sandbox world with a plethora of things to discover, create, and explore. It also has an incredibly deep crafting system that adds an incredible amount of complexity to the game. In this post, we’ll look at the various professions different villagers in Minecraft can have. We’ll review the items you need to craft and objects you need to place in certain areas of your world in order to get the professions you want from a villager. Finally, we’ll summarize what each villager can do for you once they’ve taken up their chosen profession
Farmer
A farmer is a villager who has a farm. Farmers can be found in the plains biome, which can be accessed by traveling south-east of your spawn point or by going through an Ender Portal.
A farmer’s farm will have a wheat farm and a pumpkin farm, which are both located on opposite sides of the small plot of land with a house and fences around it.
Fisherman
Fishermen are villagers that can be found in villages. They have brown trousers with a green shirt, and they have a fishing rod on their back. You can trade with them and buy or sell items to them.
Fishermen spawn in different biomes throughout the game, but if you want to find one easily, go to the ocean biome and look for a fisherman spawner there (it’s right next to some lava).
Shepherd
You can make money by shepherding and breeding sheep. You need to have a spawner and the right supplies to take care of your flock.
Sheep need food, water, and wool coats. There are plenty of ways to obtain each of these resources, but here we’ll focus on the most efficient method: feeding them wheat from your crops or from Minecraft’s grass blocks.
To craft a wheat crop farm, you’ll need two blocks for each type you want to grow (you can get around this by using bonemeal). You can also use a dispenser to automatically harvest your crop for you.
Fletcher
Fletching is the art of creating arrows. To do this, you will need a fletcher table, which can be crafted in the crafting tab. You can also get a fletcher table from the Fletcher Jig + Bucket of Arrows item at level 2 or higher and put it in your inventory. Hold shift and right click on the ground to place it down. Now that you have your tools, let’s get to work!
To craft arrows, you’ll need string (obtained by using shears on wool), feathers (obtained by killing chickens), arrow shafts (made on any crafting table and placed in your inventory) and bow string (crafted on any crafting table). First, place all two pieces of string onto one side of the fletcher table; then place one piece of feather on top; then place two arrow shafts; finally add a bowstring to complete each arrow!
Fletching Table
A Fletching Table is a crafting station that allows you to make bows, arrows and fishing rods. You can also turn feathers into arrowheads here.
This is the best way to get easy experience points for your villagers. To find one of these tables, look for it on the map or use the /locate command to find it more quickly. The /locate command will work anywhere in Minecraft; however, it’s only accurate within 100 blocks (although this value might change).
Fisherman Spawner Boat
It’s a boat that spawns a fisherman. You can use this to collect fish, which you can then sell or use in crafting. This is useful because it provides an easy way to get food when you’re exploring new areas or making your way through the ocean.
There are several ways to craft one. The easiest way is by using a wooden sword and placing it on top of 4 blocks of iron ore and 3 blocks of coal, which gives you three bombs (which will be used for other things). You can also make one by putting two bricks together with slimeballs between them and then placing them over lava – this will give you three blocks of obsidian . These are both useful materials if you want to make armor or weapons (or anything else).
Fisherman Jig + Bucket of Fish / Bucket of Cod
- A Jig is a fishing rod.
- A Bucket of Fish or Cod is a tool used to catch fish.
- Using a Jig and Bucket of Fish or Cod, you can catch fish.
Librarian
The Librarian is a villager profession. A librarian’s job is to organize and maintain the library, but they also can help you out with other things such as giving you books or finding out information about certain things like enchantments.
To become a librarian you need to get your hands on an enchantment table and some bookshelves. You will then need to place the bookshelves around the enchantment table in any way that suits your fancy. When that is done, right clicking on the enchantment table will open up a GUI (Graphical User Interface) where you can choose what book(s) you want to add into the library.
Pickaxe (Iron or Gold) + Bookshelf
The bookcase is a block that can be placed in the world. It is used to store books, which can then be crafted into various useful items. A block of glass can also be placed on top of the bookshelf to create a “display case”, which allows you to show off your achievements within Minecraft.
If you decide that you want your village to have an iron or gold pickaxe, simply craft it using 2 wooden planks and 3 iron ingots or gold nuggets respectively. For example:
To craft an iron pickaxe, use two wooden planks and three iron ingots in any possible combination:
2x WOODEN PLANKS + 3x IRON INGOTS = 1 IRON PICKAXE
Mason
- A mason is a villager profession. You can create a mason by placing a pickaxe and stonecutter in the world.
- The mason’s tasks are to make stonebrick, cobblestone, and stone.
Pickaxe (Iron or Gold) + Stonecutter
A stonecutter is an item that is used to create stone blocks and stone slabs. A stonecutter can be crafted by placing a pickaxe and a stonecutter in the crafting grid. The pickaxe gives the tool durability so you can use it again later on when you need it.
Stonecutters are used to craft blocks of different types, such as Cobblestone or Stone Bricks. It’s important to note that each block requires one unit of soft clay (like dirt), which must be placed into the top left slot before using any other ingredient for your recipe!
Butcher
A butcher is a job in Minecraft that you can create by placing an axe and a cauldron filled with water, as well as a raw meat item, in it. This will give the player access to crafting recipes for cooked meats like steak and chicken drumsticks. Butchers don’t need to worry about getting dirty from slaughtering animals or chopping them up because they are protected from that by their profession.
Axe (Iron or Gold) + Cauldron filled with water and a raw meat item in it.
- In order to build a crafting table, you’ll need four wooden planks and two sticks.
- You can cut down trees with an axe, which is made using one iron or gold ore and four wood planks. This will give you two axe heads; use them on the remaining wood planks to make an axe handle.
- To make steak, place an iron or gold sword on top of a cauldron filled with water and a raw meat item in it (raw beef works well).
The villager in this minecraft game can have 7 professions. Each profession is created by the player by placing certain items in the world.
The villager in this minecraft game can have 7 professions. Each profession is created by the player by placing certain items in the world.
- The farmer profession is created by placing a carrot, a potato and wheat in the world.
- The fisherman profession is created by placing a fishing rod on top of an empty bucket anywhere in the world (you can even use an existing boat!).
- The shepherd profession is created by placing a piece of string, any type of dye and leather armor on top of each other anywhere in the world. Shepherds also need to have wool available for their sheep to eat so make sure to add some sheep spawners nearby too!
To create more jobs for your villagers you’ll need more materials and tools like iron or gold picks axes which you can use with stone blocks to build masons’ shops where they will work together using these materials along with iron or diamond swords depending on what level they’re currently at while adding skill points when working together!
Conclusion
From the farmer to the butcher, there is a wide range of jobs that villagers in Minecraft can have. Each profession has its own unique set of items needed for creation, as well as different benefits. In this post we covered how to create each type using an item, what kind of item is required (and why), and then gave examples with specific tools/items so you know exactly what you are looking for when crafting something new!
