Achieving a top-notch education is a goal many students strive for. In order to achieve that goal, it’s important that you choose the right university. The first step in choosing a university is determining which one has the best program for you.
The first step in achieving this goal is determining what type of degree you want: associate, bachelor’s or master’s. Once you know the type of degree you want, there are many factors to consider such as cost and location, but also the admissions rate of the school. The admissions rate refers to how many people were accepted into the program relative to how many applied.

Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture has an acceptance rate of 11 percent. This makes it one of the most selective architecture schools in the U.S., and students typically have high SAT or ACT scores and high grade point averages to be accepted.
Virginia Tech also requires students to submit a portfolio, which is a collection of all art work created by the applicant. The portfolio should include any visual art, such as paintings and drawings, but not photography or sculpture. Students must also write an essay about their career goals and why they want to study architecture at Virginia Tech.
