1) First Aid for USMLE Step 1: This is one of the most popular books used by medical students preparing for Step 1. It provides an excellent overview of key concepts in medicine and has practice questions at the end of each chapter. The explanations are very thorough, which makes it easy to read through quickly if you’re pressed for time. The questions are generally easier than those on actual exams, but they do help reinforce concepts taught in lecture or textbook chapters.
2) Kaplan’s Qbook: Another popular book for studying for Step 1, especially among people who have already taken classes or did fairly well in them. The material is all arranged by organ system (i.e., cardiovascular, pulmonary), which makes it useful as a review tool during breaks between courses or tests because it helps reinforce topics that were covered recently but may have been forgotten over time due to lack
