Research at the University of West London spans a broad range of fields across the arts, STEM, health, education and more. We focus on research that has an impact on real-world problems, drawing on our close ties with businesses and industry as well as the expertise of our staff.
We have built up particular specialisms in the following seven areas. Each of our Research Centres is staffed by experts with an enviable record of publications, conferences, media and public engagement work in their chosen fields. More information about their current projects and collaborations is available below.
Career
One of the things students will learn from the Careers Service is that completing a degree is just the start of building a CV that engages potential employers. A degree is important but you need to complement that with extracurricular activities and work experience.
For many students the Careers Service played a crucial role in helping them prepare for their careers. Our graduates have recently secured jobs with Microsoft, the Foreign Office, Deloitte and IBM, to name a few.
