Nursing is a rewarding and challenging profession that incorporates theory, complex technology and caring. Baccalaureate nursing graduates provide research/theory-based nursing care to healthy and ill individuals, families and communities in diverse healthcare settings, including clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and outpatient facilities.

Students have access to exceptional advising services and academic/clinical learning opportunities that set the foundation for increased professional autonomy, career mobility and high levels of competence and confidence. The supportive faculty and staff pride themselves on preparing students to meet the demands of a changing healthcare system. The honors program further prepares students for the challenges they will face. Undergraduate students take general education, liberal arts and sciences at UToledo’s main campus, then attend the UToledo Health Science Campus as junior and senior students for nursing courses and clinical experiences.
