The University of Saskatchewan offers a Master of Science in Data Science. The program is designed for students who want to learn about the collection and analysis of big data. Students will learn about different types of data, how to manage it, and how to present it in an understandable format. They will also learn how to use statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
The program has three specializations:
Business Intelligence (BI). Students learn how to analyze data from business processes like supply chain management and customer relationship management. They will also learn about big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark that can be used for BI.
University Of Saskatchewan Masters In Data Science
Data Mining & Machine Learning (DMML). This specialization focuses on understanding the structure of large datasets by analyzing how they are generated through machine learning algorithms. Students will also study advanced statistics such as regression analysis and time series analysis so they can build predictive models that can be used in real-world applications.
Data Visualization & Communication (DVC). This specialization focuses on communicating complex information through visualizations such as graphs or charts that are easy for people to understand at a glance
The University of Saskatchewan offers a Masters in Data Science, which is a two-year program that includes an internship. The Master’s program is entirely online, but students must come to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for an orientation event and final exam. Students can also attend the data science bootcamp at the University of Saskatchewan, which teaches them how to use R and Python for predictive analytics.
Admissions Requirements
Students must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must also submit proof of English proficiency (minimum score of 80 on TOEFL, 550 on TOEIC, or 6 on IELTS).
