The application process for international students is the same for domestic applicants except for a few application requirements that are required from applicants.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • All the for students applying in undergraduate studies are supposed to submit all the post secondary transcripts in english or german. In addition to this, the applicants need to present a high school leaving certificate.
  • Candidates applying for Master’s programme must have a bachelor’s degree in required field or its german equivalent.
  • Students applying via Uni-assist need to upload relevant documents like CV, Passport and Language certificates.
  • Some Masters degree programmes call for specific requirements, such as a letter of motivation, an expert opinion or internships

Language Proficiency Requirement for International Students

At the time of applying the students must have acquired following level of scores for admission to programs taught in German:

Accommodation

The University offers student housing facilities.

All students are required to pay a semester fee every semester. This fee is made up of the following components:

  • Contribution to the Studentenwerk Hannover (student services organisation)
  • Contribution to the student government (Students’ Union, AStA)
  • Semester ticket
  • Contribution towards administrative costs for the Federal State of Lower Saxony.

The “Lower Saxony/Bremen semester ticket” enables you to use all modes of transport in the Greater Hannover area, and to travel second class in Deutsche Bahn’s regional trains throughout Lower Saxony, as well as to Bremen and Hamburg central stations at no additional cost.
