UGA transfer acceptance rate is a little bit lower than some of the other top public universities in the country. It’s about a 3% acceptance rate. So, if you’re looking at stats like that, it’s important to realize that Georgia Tech has an acceptance rate of 8%, which I think is pretty impressive. A lot of universities are similar in that they have lower acceptance rates for transfer students than they do for freshmen.
That being said, there are still some things that you can do as a transfer student to increase your chances of getting accepted into Georgia Tech or any other university, really. And one of those things is doing well in college courses while you’re still in high school, so that when you get to college, you’re already ahead of the game and have taken some of those core courses already out of high school.
