GAINESVILLE, Fla. –  UF MBA at the Warrington College of Business made an impressive 9-place jump on U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools 2020” rankings, landing in its highest-ever spot on the annual list of top MBA programs in the nation.

“We are excited to be recognized as one of the top 25 MBA programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report, and we’re especially thrilled to share the ‘top 10 public’ designation held by UF as a whole,” said John Gresley, UF MBA Assistant Dean and Director. “This ranking demonstrates that all the great aspects of our program, including world class faculty, talented, diverse students, engaged alumni network and a premium student experience, have coalesced into a transformative outcome and we could not be prouder.”

The UF MBA Full-Time program placed in the No. 25 spot overall, up from No. 34 in 2019. The program also rose into the top 10 among U.S. publics to the No. 9 position, up five spots from last year’s No. 14.

As it has for the past 10 years, the full-time program ranked in the top 10 for student selectivity, coming in at No. 6 among publics. The student selectivity rank measures students’ average GMAT and GRE scores, average undergraduate GPA and the school’s acceptance rate. UF MBA is third among public schools for acceptance rate, just behind the University of California – Berkeley and Pennsylvania State University, choosing competitive students for its full-time program.

UF MBA’s Full-Time program ranked No. 14 among U.S. public schools for starting salary and bonus, averaging at $121,558 in 2020. For the ninth year in a row, UF MBA graduates’ starting salary and bonus amount have increased. In addition to strong start salaries, 89 percent of UF MBA students are employed at graduation, making UF MBA the No. 4 program overall.

“Now more than ever, employers are actively seeking our talented, diverse students who aspire to positively impact their organizations and communities,” Gresley said. “Our graduates’ starting salaries increased for the 9th time in the last 10 years and now average more than $120,000. Couple this with our full-tuition scholarship program and those looking for maximum impact, as well as return on investment, will clearly see the value in an MBA from the University of Florida.”

The UF MBA Professional program again placed in the top 20 among U.S. public schools, ranking in the No. 19 position. Overall, the UF MBA Professional program ranked as No. 32 on U.S. News & World Report’s ranking.

U.S. News & World Report determines the top graduate business schools through a combination of objective measures including placement success, student selectivity and a reputational assessment. All 475 MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International were surveyed in fall 2018 and early 2019 to determine the “Best Graduate Schools 2020” ranking.

UF MBA also made a significant jump on the Financial Times’ “2019 Global MBA Rankings,” ascending 19 spots to be the No. 39 program on the global ranking.
