The University of Florida College of Nursing is one of the top ranked nursing schools in the nation. It is also one of the most competitive nursing programs for admission. The UF Accelerated BSN program is a highly sought after accelerated BSN program with a very low acceptance rate.
According to the UF College of Nursing website, the average GPA for applicants was 3.6 and the average GRE score was 1097. For those students who were accepted into UF’s Accelerated BSN program, they had an average GPA of 3.6 and an average GRE score of 1097 (only 3% had scores below 1000).
Only 24% of applicants were offered admission into the UF Accelerated BSN program in 2015-2016 school year, which means 76% were denied admission! In addition, only 22% of applicants were offered admission into UF’s Traditional BSN program in 2015-2016 school year, which means 78% were denied admission!
It is important to note that these statistics are based on all students who applied; not just those who applied through AAMC’s AMCAS application service or AACOMAS service (which are two common sources used by most medical schools).
