The majority of applicants to the UCSD Cognitive Science program are strong students who have taken a rigorous course load in high school and college. They are also well-rounded, with interests outside of academics that help them succeed in life and contribute to their academic success.
What do you need to apply?
UCSD’s Cognitive Science major requires a 3.5 GPA in high school or college. You also need to have completed Calculus 1, 2 and 3; Statistics; and one year of general chemistry (including lab). If you don’t meet these requirements, you can still apply but you may have to take additional courses before starting your studies at UCSD.
