UCL tuition fees for international students undergraduate

University College London is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world, with more than 150 years’ experience in providing high quality education to students from around the globe. The College has seen unprecedented growth in its international student population over the last few years; its student body now boasts more than 5,000 students, including more than 1,600 international students studying on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Tuition Fees for international students has been tailored to give you an idea of fees that you can expect should you wish to study at University College London (UCL). They are correct at the time of posting but may be subject to change.

Please note the information below relates to the 2020/21 academic year. Information about fees for the 2021/22 academic year will be published here as soon as it becomes available.

How much are fees?

UCL’s annual tuition fees for students commencing in the academic year 2020/21 are set at £9,250 for UK and EU students on the vast majority of undergraduate programmes.

UCL reserves the right to increase its fees in line with government policy (including on an annual basis for each year of study during a programme).

does ucla offer financial aid to international students

UCLA does not award scholarships or financial aid to undergraduate students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States. International students must prove that they have sufficient funds available to them to pay for their educational and living expenses. For example, students admitted to Fall Quarter 2021 will need a minimum of about $67,701 (with an additional $5,000 recommended for additional personal expenses, contingencies and summer expenses). This minimum amount usually grows each year.

UCLA also requires that all international students on non-immigrant visas have adequate medical insurance during all periods of enrollment. More information about these requirements will be sent to students when they are admitted.

UCL is a world-leading research and teaching university, so it’s no surprise that the tuition fees for international students are high. However, UCL’s scholarship fund can help you get a discount on your tuition fees. In total, there are over £6million in scholarships available for undergraduate students from all over the world who meet the competitive academic standards of UCL.

The majority of UK and EU students use a tuition fee loan from Student Finance to pay for their fees.

If approved, the tuition fee loan will be paid directly from Student Finance to UCL on your behalf.

Does ucla give full scholarships to international students

Most international undergraduates pay nonresident supplemental tuition for the entire time they are enrolled at UC. The nonresident supplemental tuition adds an additional $29,754 to a student’s cost of attendance for the 2020–21 year.

International students are generally ineligible for student loans and are eligible for very few scholarships.

Other things to keep in mind:

Summer expenses

Costs for living expenses and attending school during the summer are not included in cost of attendance. Students can expect to spend at least $4,740 for living expenses during the summer, plus expenses associated with attending school.

Waiver of fees

Students from the host universities affiliated with UC’s Education Abroad Program (EAP) may be considered for waivers of nonresident tuition fees and other awards. Procedures for granting waivers and awards vary among the host institutions. If you are a student at a host university, you should contact the resident director of the UC EAP in your country for more information.

Employment

There are very limited opportunities for employment, either on or off campus, except as a teaching or research assistant. Students who hope to secure employment or financial assistance after enrolling at UC may be unable to complete their studies. U.S. government restrictions make summer and part-time off-campus work extremely difficult to secure.
