The School of Pharmacy is housed in a 102,000-square-foot building on the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center campus in Amarillo. The building includes a drug information center, a lecture center, computer based classrooms, faculty and administrative offices, as well as several instructional and research laboratories.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows pharmacists hold 1.87 of every 1,000 jobs in the state, making an average of $57.15 per hour in 2014.

Tuition and fees are established each year by the Board of Regents, and in addition to tuition, students are responsible for their books, supplies, travel and personal expenses associated with completing their clinical experiences. A laptop computer, compatible with the School’s system is also required.

A $100 non-refundable fee must be submitted with the application for admission. Applications will not be processed without this fee. (You do not have to apply to Texas Tech University in addition to applying to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy.) 

Upon acceptance of an offer of admission, the student submits a $100 non-refundable placement guarantee fee.

Estimated Expenses:

International students must have a minimum of $35,000 in United States currency to finance educational and living costs for a 12-month school year, August to August. An international student on a student visa will be charged $363 per semester credit hour tuition.
