To be considered for admission into the PharmD program at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, Priority and Regular applicants must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA, as determined by PharmCAS, of 2.75 or higher.
  • Complete a minimum of 74 semester credit hours of prerequisite coursework at an accredited college or university. Applications lacking one or more prerequisites are considered if the applicant is enrolled in, or plans to enroll in, courses that fulfill missing prerequisites. If accepted into the program, all missing prerequisites must be satisfactorily completed (a C grade or higher) by summer session I in the year of matriculation.
  • Take PCAT Exam (optional)
    • Applicants who opt to take PCAT please send scores directly to PharmCAS (code: 104)
  • Submit three PharmCAS recommendation forms.
  • Interviews are held on the Kingsville campus. For the current admission cycle, interviews will be conducted using a Multiple-Mini Interview (MMI) format. MMI is designed to measure competencies including oral communication, social and non-verbal skills, and teamwork that are important indicators of how an applicant will interact with patients and colleagues as a physician.
