Temple University is a comprehensive public research university with more than 39,000 students. It has a distinguished faculty in 17 schools and colleges, including schools of Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Podiatry, and Dentistry, and a renowned Health Sciences Center. Temple is one of Pennsylvania’s three public research universities, along with the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University. Temple is among  the top 40 largest public four-year universities in the United States. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, Temple has four regional campuses, including the flagship Main Campus, Health Sciences Campus, and Center City Campus in Philadelphia; and a major suburban campus — Temple University at Ambler. The university has international campuses in Tokyo, Japan, and Rome, Italy. Temple also offers educational programs in the People’s Republic of China, Israel, Greece, Great Britain, France and other countries throughout the world. Through its various schools and colleges, Temple University offers 171 undergraduate degree programs, 181 master’s degree areas, and 68 doctoral programs.

The University provides all of the resources and opportunities of a large, world-class research institution and the individual attention of a small college—average class size is only 26 students, with a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

More than 75 percent of freshmen live on campus, where they are a short walk from class, fitness facilities, food trucks, and the many cultural, sports, and academic events that take place every day at Temple. There are more than 300 clubs, activities, and student organizations to choose from, and the University’s 10,200-seat entertainment complex hosts NCAA Division I basketball games as well as concerts—Fetty Wap, Sam Smith, and Bob Dylan have all performed there. The view isn’t bad either: Temple’s newest residential and dining complex, the twenty-seven-floor Morgan Hall, offers a breathtaking vista of the Philadelphia skyline.
