csu san marcos accelerated bsn

The RN to BSN program at CSUSM is an accelerated, online program designed for registered nurses currently holding an Associate Degree in Nursing. This 100% online program is an opportunity to earn a BSN in just 14 months.

The 14 months of study are broken down into 8 week classes during the Fall and Spring semesters, and 10 week classes during the Summer semester. Unlike other programs, CSUSM includes time off between semesters and during holidays to allow students to pursue an education without compromising life and other priorities.

To be eligible to enroll, students must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing and an active RN license. Students must also have completed a short list of prerequisite courses.

Accelerated BSN

We currently have cohorts planned for Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. The Fall program will accept one cohort in San Marcos, the Spring program will accept one cohort in San Marcos and the Summer program will admit one cohort in Temecula. Applications received now will be considered for admission into all planned cohorts.

A cohort is a group of students who work through a curriculum together to achieve the same academic degree. Because they are accepted into the same program, take their classes together, and graduate together, students in cohorts tend to form a strong support system and professional network that benefit them during their degree program and beyond.
