Central Washington University Application Deadline

CWU operates on a rolling admissions policy, which means that it accepts applications throughout the year. However, it’s highly recommended that prospective students submit their applications well in advance of their desired academic term. While there isn’t a fixed deadline for all programs, there are priority deadlines for some. It’s important to check the official CWU website or contact the admissions office to determine the specific application deadlines for your intended program.

These priority deadlines for undergraduate students are typically as follows:

  • Fall Quarter (September): March 1
  • Winter Quarter (January): November 1

  • Summer Quarter (June): May 1

For graduate programs, deadlines can vary by department, so it is essential to verify the specific dates with your chosen program of study.

Central Washington University Application Fee

Central Washington University charges an application fee, as is common with many colleges and universities. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the undergraduate application fee for domestic students was $60. For international undergraduate applicants, the fee was $75. Graduate application fees varied by program and were typically around $75 for domestic students and $100 for international students. Please note that these fees may have changed since then, and it is advisable to visit the official CWU website for the most up-to-date information on application fees.

Central Washington University Application Fee Waiver

Central Washington University understands that application fees can be a financial burden for some prospective students. As a result, the university may offer application fee waivers to eligible applicants. Fee waivers are generally granted to those who can demonstrate financial need or who are participating in specific programs or initiatives.

To apply for a fee waiver, students should follow these general steps:

  1. Check Eligibility: Review the CWU admissions website or contact the admissions office to ascertain the specific eligibility criteria for fee waivers.
  2. Obtain Necessary Documentation: If you meet the criteria, gather the required documentation to support your fee waiver request. This might include proof of financial hardship or participation in designated programs.
  3. Complete the Fee Waiver Request: Submit the fee waiver request along with the necessary documentation as outlined by the university.
  4. Wait for Approval: Central Washington University’s admissions office will review your fee waiver request, and if approved, the application fee will be waived.

Prospective students should ensure they apply for fee waivers well in advance of their intended application submission to allow for processing time.
