The 3rd class scholarship is a special scholarship program for students who are in their third year of high school. It is intended to assist students in pursuing post-secondary education. This can include college courses, trade schools, or other programs that lead to an industry certification or license.
The 3rd class scholarship pays tuition and fees only, not room and board or other living expenses. It is available to any student currently enrolled in public school (or homeschooled) who meets the eligibility requirements below.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be a U.S. citizen, national or legal permanent resident*
Be attending high school full time** as part of a public school or homeschool program through grade 12 – including home-based private instruction programs with state approval (such as virtual charter schools). In order to be eligible for this grant, you must have completed your junior year (grade 11) prior to applying for the grant. If you are currently enrolled in high school and plan on graduating by June 2019, you may apply for this grant!
