Candidates must be nominated by their home institution and approved by Global Affairs Canada before applying for the award through NRC-IRAP (National Research Council – Industrial Relevance Assistance Program).

The Sat Scholarship is a scholarship program designed to assist international students with the cost of studying in Canada. The Sat Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need. They are available to students from all over the world who have been admitted to an accredited Canadian university, college or other institution offering post-secondary education. The maximum amount of funding available for the Sat Scholarship is $10,000 per year for up to four years (or equivalent).

To be eligible for this scholarship program you must:

Be a citizen of a country other than Canada.

Be a permanent resident (landed immigrant) or temporary resident in Canada at the time of your application.

Have been accepted by an eligible institution and plan to study in an eligible field of study (see below).

Plan on attending an eligible institution located within British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario or Prince Edward Island.

Sat Scholarships For International Students In Canada

Sat scholarships for international students are offered by the Canadian government to help international students from developing countries study in Canada. These scholarships can be used to complete a degree, diploma or certificate programme in one of the designated fields listed below:

Agricultural sciences

Business administration and management

Computer and information sciences and support services

Education, other than early childhood education

Engineering technologies/technicians (i.e., applied science and related programs)

Environmental studies

Fine arts and humanities (including architecture)

Health professions and related programs (i.e., medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine)
