CONCLUSION

Radulov was the best and I feel he sacrificed a lot by coming here but in the end having him play and us win a cup would be great. We didn’t realize how much we need him until this last game but he is our go to guy offensively when it matters and we got to reward him. The cap won’t matter if we do this because we will be in contention for many years to come if he gets the next 2 yrs at 9mil a year. Montreal made an excuse so they could trade Pacioretty so maybe he could sign for 6 million a year….who knows? The Habs have a core group of players for the future who are under team control for several years like Sergachev, Mete, Bouchard, Lehkonen, Danault and Shaw. With vets like Drouin, Price and Weber and with Radulov re-signed we could contend for many years. I think signing Radulov is important because we need that proven scorer on the team (although De la Rose has 30 point potential) we also don’t have a guarantee that Drouin will re-sign after this season and with Radulov locked up long term it allows Bergevin to trade
