Pulmonology is a medical specialty dealing with diseases involving the respiratory tract. However, pulmonology has been around since at least 1AD when Galen described it as the study of breathing organs.[1] In 1828 Jean Cruveilhier was appointed Professor of Pathological Anatomy at Montpellier.
