BECOME A NURSE EDUCATOR—JOIN OUR NEWEST PROGRAM
Creighton recently launched a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education track to meet the demand of the nursing faculty shortage identified by the American Association of Colleges of Nurses. The program is designed to help you achieve a career as an innovative educator in academic or clinical settings. You’ll learn about teaching and learning principles, assessment of student learning and curricular design. Graduates will be eligible candidates for the Certified Nurse Educator CNE® exam, which is administered through the National League for Nursing.
Creighton’s College of Nursing is a recipient of the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP). Students enrolled in the MSN in Nursing Education program and the Nursing Education Post Graduate Certificate Program are eligible to apply for NFLP funding. Loan recipients may have up to 85% of their loan forgiven by working full-time as a Nurse Educator after graduating from their program. There is also a loan forgiveness option for Nurse Practitioners who complete the Nursing Education Post Graduate Certificate Program and serve as full-time preceptors for NP students after completion.
