Ques. How are placements for Pharmaceutical Engg. at IIT BHU?

● Top Answer By Anindita Kundu on 21 Apr 21Ans. The placements of Pharmaceutical Engineering at IIT BHU are presently not considered to be excellent but are at a growing phase. There are several reasons which lead to the not-so-satisfactory placement of Pharmaceutical Engineering, and some of them are listed in the key highlights. The table below gives a brief overview of Pharmaceutical Engineering at IIT BHU. Categories IIT BHU NIRF ’20 Ranking 11 Total Fees Rs. 8.62 Lakhs Median Salary Offered Rs. 13.6 LPA Total Number of Seats 80 Cut-off (JEE Advanced) 11691 Key Highlights: Just a few years back, the department of Pharmaceutical Engineering was called B.Pharm. This is one of the reasons why several companies can’t recognize the stream, and so didn’t open their recruitment procedure for the department to date. Slowly with time, there are companies who have started recruiting students from Pharmaceutical Engineering, which is evident by the fact that there are new names every year in the list of companies who have visited the campus for placement. Among all other sectors, the Pharmaceutical industry stands second among the fastest growing industries in the world. In the Pharmaceutical industry, there is immense scope for research-oriented works. So, most students are hired by organizations offering research profiles, and very few corporate jobs are seen to be offered to students. This is the overall placement scenario of Pharmaceutical Engineering at IIT BHU, which is not very good in quality and quantity, but is increasing with time and according to market demands.Read more00ShareFacebookTwitterCopy Link1 Answer●●●UpvoteDownvoteReport

“IIT(BHU), a college experience”

Course Curriculum Overview :

Basically, this course was allotted based on rank but when I went through the course and faculty background it was interesting in the current time. Student faculty ratio is 55:1. Generally, all faculty members are PHD Qualified. There are two exams conducted every year.

Campus Life :

There is various fest organised on the campus. The cultural fest is known as Kashi yatra and the tech fest is known as technex. All these fests are organised every year. Campus life amazing and exciting there are lots of things to explore on campus.

Internships Opportunities :

Mostly Non-core companies come for internship opportunities and Software profile is most in demand. There are lots of companies that come for SDE. And students must have to do a project in the 2nd year, for credits. 0 0 REPORTRead MoreDSDeneshraj SBharathidasan Institute of Technology, Anna University – [AUBIT]( Enrolled 2018 )B.Tech, Pharmaceutical TechnologySeptember 22, 20218.1/10

“A great place to learn Engineering!”

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculties are holding a great profile here. If we are interested to gain knowledge they will help a lot. There will be lots of motivation and many student initiative programs. The curriculum will be a hybrid of biotechnology, chemical engineering and pharmacy. We can approach in any of the above fields for specialization and work. We must maintain a decent profile to shine out in academics as well as co curricular activities. Studying before the exams doesn’t work well here. It’s hard to grasp everything in a week. A continuous effort from the beginning of semester will be useful for final examinations. Exams will be conducted based on Anna University notification. There will be three monthly test and final examinations to grade students. Other than that, faculties may conduct viva or class tests to make us prepared for exams.

Campus Life :

Due to covid pandemic, there is no functions gathering together. But there are few functions like department symposium, annual fest and sports day is celebrated hugely as “Krida”. There will be intramural competitions and winners will be given prizes on annual fest. There is a central library for renting books and another library for reading only. Many foreign author books are available here. There are student initiative forum like “Manam”. Then NSS, NCC and JRC are actively doing their works. Rotary club is also being held here.

Remarks :

Near to my home townNBA accredited course Only 3 college had this Pharmaceutical Technology course when I joined. This department has 22 years experience and in Tamilnadu it is the first to have this department. To join this college, application is applied via TNEA and if get selected a pre admission fees of Rs. 5000 should be paid. Then admission process is conducted on a specified date in the campus. It is just a one day process. Hostel admissions also made on the same day. 0 0 REPORTRead MoreMTMONOJ MANGU THAKURIIT BHU – Indian Institute of Technology( Enrolled 2019 )B.Tech, Pharmaceutical TechnologyJuly 30, 20217.8/10

They always try to pick as many as students from here with them. Yes, our college does provide an internship to students. Right now the internship process is going on so that’s why I haven’t got any internship yet. But by the last year records, students got a stipend as high as 2 lacs per month.

Alumni/Alumna :

As our college is 100 years old, this means we have a vast network of alumni base. Our alumni network is very strong. There are numerant famous personalities that have been passed out from our college and they always have a strong connection with us. They always seek to help us progress and develop. The senior students are very helpful to their junior ones. There’s been never a case when the junior came out unsatisfied when he/she went to the senior student to know something. 0 0 REPORTRead MorePSPadam SinghIIT BHU – Indian Institute of Technology( Batch 2020 )B.Tech, Pharmaceutical TechnologyDecember 9, 201910.0/10

“Best engineering college in India”

College Events :

Our college has a big league of extracurricular activities which include sports, music, cultural clubs, scientific clubs, social outreach club etc. Moreover there are four councils here named- Science & Technology Council, Sports Council, Film & Media Council and Cultural Council. Apart from this my college hosts three college festivals named- Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha as Cultural fest, Technical fest and Sports fest respectively. On the whole it provides a complete exposure of non academic aspects to its students. So many defferent events are held by defferent council at defferent interval of time. when i took admission in IIT BHU Varanasi after some time DJ night was held by sports council so defferent council events going on through out the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

I think the fee structure is feasible in IITs. When i took admission in IIT BHU Varanasi in 2015 the fee structure is feasible. In 2015 the fee structure was defferent according to the categories. General and OBC category students fee about 51 thousand and SC, ST and physically challenged person fee was zero. But now the fee structure is defferent for general and OBC students is defferent according to the income so don’t worry about the fee of IITs and SC,ST and physically handicapped students fee is same as above. Now come to the mess. Mess charge is 12 thousand for every student per semester.

The course curriculum is regulation 2017.The curriculum is very good and very necessary for the pharmaceutical student. It is very interesting to study for the student wbo have biological background. The subjects are very interesting to study and lab practicals are extremely well and good. “Average”

Placement Experience :

Although the placements in the college are very less for civil engineering stream, the other branch students are placed in many IT companies, and even mechanical branch students are placed in some of the companies. About 40-50 students in this college are placed from our previous batch, i.e. 2017 pass out, and for 2018 batch students up to 20-30 students are placed in the campus placements.

Faculty :

I think that the faculty members are qualified but we are expecting more of practical explanation from them. The methods of teaching include digital classes and oral explanation. Another method was practical sessions. There is no industry exposure but there are demo classes which are held by people from some MNCs. The course curriculum is useful for us.

Exam Structure :

The exams are conducted by jntu anathpur we cannot expect the exam pattern and we need to study the entire subject to write the exam it is useful to got knowledge on a subject. It is management course haveing all basic course for management like retail management, management economics, strategic management,hr management, finance, accounts. 0 0 REPORTRead MoreNNishantIIT BHU – Indian Institute of Technology( Enrolled 2019 )B.Tech, Pharmaceutical TechnologyAugust 24, 20217.8/10

“My college experience – [IIT BHU], Varanasi”

Course Curriculum Overview :

Pharma is an underrated field there are lots of technical and non-technical aspects of pharma. Through this, I can explore my concept. Here the student-teacher ratio is 30:1. Almost all faculty member has done PhD. Exams happen twice per sem.

Campus Life :

There are various fest organized on the campus. The cultural fest is known as Kashi yatra and the tech fest is known as technex. All these fests are organized every year. Most the students participate according to their choice.

Internships Opportunities :

Mostly Non-core companies come for internship opportunities and Software profile is most in demand. There are lots of companies that come for SDE. And students must have to do a project in the 2nd year, for credits.
