Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Personal Trainer in Planet Fitness

3.0

Fun but no advancement for trainers

Personal Trainer (Former Employee) – Hopkins, MN – April 3, 2022

Pros: Coworkers, Get to be the only trainer

Cons: pay not conducive for the work involved at any position in the club. No training manager and some club managers are sedentary. No pay increase unless your club is lucky to have enough foot traffic. Even then the bonuses aren’t that much

Decent workplace if you’re a college student or need some money

Fitness Trainer (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – January 5, 2022

Don’t do it… that is all
Terrible pay for long hours. Hated my time there. Made me travel to far gyms with no compensation. Easy money to just stand around. Very cliquey vibes

Pros

Free membership

Cons

Long hours, terrible pay

Planet Fitness Sunshine Fitness Management is Delusional

Personal Trainer (Former Employee) – West Palm Beach, FL – September 7, 2021

Interviewed for the WPB location and and 2+ months later they re still hiring, unable to fill the position of a personal trainer. This company offers zero financial incentives to keep or retain employees. In Florida they offer shamefully low wages of $12 and hour and below the standard 40 hours full time even though they advertise full time. There are no benefits aside from a BLK card membership minus the unlimited guest access.

Pros

Free gym membership

Cons

Low pay, no benefits, limited hours and no promotional advantages
