Oscar is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Chelsea, on loan from Shanghai SIPG. He has also represented the Brazil national football team at under-20 and under-23 levels. The Brazilian started his career with São Paulo before transferring to Internacional in 2007. In 2012, he joined Chelsea for £19 million where he won several trophies including the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.
In 2016, Oscar transferred to Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG for £52 million where he won the Chinese Super League and Chinese FA Cup. However, due to his lack of game time at Shanghai SIPG he was loaned out to Italian club AC Milan in January 2019 but they opted against making his transfer permanent after just four months due to his poor form in Serie A which resulted in him losing his place in Brazil’s squad for their Copa America campaign this summer after only featuring three times
