Admission Requirements: The application deadline for Spring 2020 is January 7th, 2020. To apply for admission to the graduate program in creative writing at NYU, applicants must submit a completed application online along with the following materials:

Two letters of recommendation; A personal essay explaining why you are applying to NYU’s graduate program in creative writing; Two sample poems or short stories (no more than 20 pages total); A writing sample (a full manuscript) of no more than 40 pages;

The application fee is $70 and there is no application fee waiver available. Applicants who do not qualify for financial aid should expect to pay tuition costs between $31,000-$36,000 per year including fees.
