Global Scholarship Alliance (GSA) is the premier international nursing scholarship organization. The primary aim of GSA is to raise the standing of the nursing profession around the world, lessen the global nursing shortage and create sustainability in nursing worldwide. To this end the GSA has two scholarship programs. Both have a service obligation following completion of the educational program. Recipients agree to go to school full-time and work part-time in a clinical setting, as well.

The applicant must have completed a registered nurse degree program that lasted at least three years. He or she must have a current license, have gone through clinic and theory classes during training to be a registered nurse. One year of post-graduate acute care experience is also required.
