PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
MAJOR (45 ECTS.)
The major consists of compulsory and elective courses. We recommend that you take the compulsory courses in the first or second semester. The number of compulsory courses varies between the different majors. All majors include a course in empirical methodology.
ELECTIVE COURSES (45 ECTS.)
Students can form a combination with electives of choice within a given framework. Of these electives, 22.5 ECTS credits must be in other subject areas than the chosen major, i.e. they cannot have the same letter code as the major.
One can also select a minor (22.5-30 ECTS.) according to what is specified in the major. The minor cannot be within the same subject areas as the major. Students can also use CEMS or Innovation school (30 ECTS.) as a minor.
MASTER’S THESIS (30 ECTS.)
During their degree, all students must write a master’s thesis where they perform an in-depth study on one or more issues within their chosen major. The master’s thesis should be written in the third or fourth semester. The thesis should be within the academic field of the major and is normally written together with another student. The master’s thesis gives students the skills in thinking and working independently on a topic of their interests.
We recommend the following semester structure:
- semester: 30 ECTS. major
- semester: 15 ECTS. major + 15 ECTS. elective/minor
- semester: 30 ECTS. elective/minor/exchange
- semester: 30 ECTS. master’s thesis
