The Master of Science in Drilling and Well Engineering (MScDWE) is a professional degree that provides students with a broad understanding of drilling and well engineering. The program is designed to provide the technical training needed to develop the skills necessary to perform field operations in the oil and gas industry. Our program is offered online, allowing students to complete their degree while working full-time in their chosen field.
Our curriculum covers all aspects of drilling and well engineering, including geology, geophysics, drilling mechanics, well bore construction, completion design and analysis, reservoir engineering, production engineering and fluid flow in porous media. Students also learn about topics such as safety management systems (SMS), occupational health & safety (OHS) regulations as well as project management techniques that will enable them to work effectively in teams.
MScDWE graduates have found employment with some of the largest companies in the world including ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and Shell Canada Limited among others.

The Canadian Society for Unmanned Systems (CSUS) is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in 2013 as a national collaborative body to represent Canadian unmanned systems stakeholders. The CSUS mission is to advance the development, use and regulation of unmanned systems in Canada through education, outreach and research activities.
The CSUS is focused on four core areas:
Education – support for professional development opportunities for academics and industry participants;
Outreach – networking with government agencies, international organizations, academic institutions and other stakeholders;
Research – investment in research on unmanned systems; and,
Regulation – promotion of regulatory policies that encourage the safe operation of unmanned systems
