Master of Business Analytics
This 180-point masters programme will prepare students from business, engineering, social sciences, sciences or technology backgrounds for careers as business analytics professionals.
This practice-focused programme will equip you to interrogate business challenges and then source, manipulate and analyse data to address issues and inform organisational strategies.
You will also develop a strong portfolio of professional skills that will enable you to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience through the use of data visualisation tools and storytelling.
Your chosen specialisation will provide the opportunity for you to develop and apply analytical techniques and engage in an industry-based project that will provide experience in responding to the challenges of working in a live business context with real data.
The programme will launch in 2021 with the Marketing specialisation. The specialisation in Supply Chain Management will not be offered to students entering the programme in 2021.

usiness Analytics (PGCertBusAn). The PGCertBusAn is an alternative pathway for graduates who are initially uncertain about committing to a masters programme, and for those who do not achieve the required GPA for direct entry to the MBusAn.
The Master of Business Analytics is a 15-month, 180-point coursework masters programme studied over five quarters.
You will study six core courses (Part I) addressing data sources for the formulation of business strategies and the analytics required to inform decision-making. Topics will include business analytics and information management tools, storytelling and data visualisation, predictive analytics, and decision-making and optimisation.
In Part II you will choose to focus on either Marketing or Supply Chain Management and enhance and develop your skills sets in a disciplinary context. Following the completion of a business consultancy practice course and a course in advanced project management you will complete an applied industry project.

You must have completed an undergraduate degree in business or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline such as arts, engineering, technology, or science. Your study must be from a recognised university (or similar institution), and you will need a GPE of 5.0 in the most advanced courses taken. In addition, you must have passed an undergraduate level course in business statistics (STATS 108) or equivalent.
