Tuition and Fees
Full-Time MBA academic fees for 2021-22 are approximately $52,699 for California residents and $59,490 for non-residents. Fees are subject to change. The Rady School and UC San Diego offer fellowships to assist students, as well as resources to find additional assistance. Further information about costs associated with studying at UC San Diego are available from the central financial aid office.

Financial Assistance
To be considered for financial assistance or unsubsidized loans, domestic students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). UC San Diego’s Financial Aid Office provides step-by-step application directions, downloadable forms, answers to frequently asked questions and more. UC San Diego’s school code is 001317.
Fellowships
Rady provides limited fellowship support to exceptional individuals. All domestic and international admitted students are considered for merit-based fellowships upon admission.
Through the generosity of our supporters and donors, the Rady School also awards privately funded fellowships based on specific criteria that are assessed through the application process, including fellowships to support students:
with great potential to be leaders in their respective industries and fields
who have demonstrated significant achievement in the face of economic or personal barriers
who will be contributors and leaders in San Diego’s innovation-driven economy
with backgrounds in the life sciences

Military Benefits & Scholarships
Information about funding for active military and veteran students is available on the UC San Diego Financial Aid website.
Though many of our military students receive assistance through military benefit programs, the Rady School does reserve a limited amount of funds to assist our military candidates. Additional information can be found on this dedicated page.
Loans
U.S. citizens or permanent residents should apply for Federal Direct Loan Programs first because of favorable interest rates and origination fees. These are variable, low-interest educational loans. The Federal Direct Loan Programs provide unsubsidized loans where you pay accruing interest while in school, grace and authorized deferment periods. These loans are not need based loans and do not require a co-signer. Deferment options are available. The FAFSA is required to determine the loans for which you may qualify. Private educational loans are available to both domestic and international applicants. For additional details on private loans, including those for international applicants with no U.S. co-signer, refer to the UC San Diego Private Loan information page.
Scholarships & Grants
UC San Diego does not administer scholarships for graduate students. However, UC San Diego’s Financial Aid office compiles resources on scholarships not administered by the university. More information can be found at their website.
Graduate Opportunity Grants are University of California funded and do not have to be repaid. You must submit a FAFSA form in order to be eligible for these grants.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to research additional scholarships and/or grants which may apply to specific individuals. Please contact the Rady Admissions Office if you need documentation of your admission offer if applying for third party grants.
Student Contribution Appeal
Your expected student contribution for the academic year will be based largely on your prior calendar-year income. For students who have been working full-time during the prior year, this expected contribution may not accurately reflect your current or projected financial situation as a full-time student. Students falling into this situation should submit a student contribution appeal form.
