Application process
International students need to follow the university’s guidelines carefully in order to get admission at Martin Luther University of Halle-wittenberg. German colleges require some additional steps from internationa applicants. These are briefly mentioned below:
- International undergraduate applicants who did not receive university entrance qualification or their first academic degree in Germany will have to submit an application to uni-assist.
- After submitting an electronic application to uni-assist, the application should be printed and sent in paper form to the university.
- For master degree applicants in Master of Law, Master of business law and Konzertexamen, the candidate should send the application directly to the university for evaluation.

Cost of Attendance
- There is no tuition fee. However, living expenses, books, supplies and other misc. expenses need to be kept in mind.
- Semester contribution fee is 100 EUR

Financial Aid for International Students
- There are limited options to fund studying in Germany in case of international students.
- International students can apply for a scholarship at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
- DAAD contains a database of all scholarship awarding institutions and organisations.
- There are multiple offices of DAAD world-wide where candidates may seek information regarding scholarships.
- Students can fund their study through part-time jobs.
- The university has a career centre for helping students in getting part-time jobs at campus as well as in the city.
