The Martin Luther Universitat Halle Wittenberg Master In English is a one year program that offers students the opportunity to learn about the American culture, literature and language. Students choose from an array of courses such as American literature, American history, American culture and other courses related to the language and literature. The program also aims at providing students with an understanding of the academic discipline of English studies. The course consists of 30 credits which are divided into two semesters; each semester has 15 credits. The first semester focuses on developing proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while the second semester focuses on improving these skills further.
