Established in 1844, Konstfack (Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Stockholm (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Stockholm County. Officially recognized by the Utbildningsdepartementet, Sverige (Ministry of Education and Research of Sweden), Konstfack is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational Swedish higher education institution.
Konstfack offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. The university accepts applications twice a year in the spring and autumn semesters. UG and PG applicants need to apply via University admissions in sweden portal along with an application fees of SEK 900. In addition to meeting the entry requirements, it is mandatory for the international students to submit supporting documents like recommendation letters, personal statement and ELP scores- IELTS, TOEFL scores. The final selection is based on the academic scores and portfolios submitted along with the online application.

Programs and Residence Permit
- Bachelor’s programs are taught only in Swedish. They, therefore, require proficiency in Swedish language before enrolment in a bachelor’s program.
- Master’s programs, taught in English, are offered in 5 different areas – Craft, Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication and Visual Culture and Learning
- The University offers a joint doctoral program of Art, Design and Technology, with one application round per year.
- It is compulsory for all the students to have a Residence Permit for studying in Sweden.

Visa Requirements for International Students
