Internship For Financial Analyst

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: Full-time (3 months)

Overview:

As a financial analyst, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the company’s budgeting process and implementing new accounting procedures. You will work closely with our CFO to develop a plan that works best for the company, then implement it and maintain it throughout the duration of your internship. You’ll also be responsible for tracking expenses, maintaining financial records, and using Excel to analyze data.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

        Developing processes for implementing new accounting procedures



    Managing budgets for departments within the organization



    Tracking expenses



    Updating financial records on a regular basis

Minimum Requirements:

        Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university



    Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel



    Familiarity with Excel pivot tables (or willingness to learn)

Preferred Qualifications:

          You should have some experience working in finance or accounting.

Internship For Financial Analyst

How to Get a Financial Analyst Internship

To get a financial analyst internship, you must either be a current student or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, statistics, or a similar field. You need to be proficient with financial systems and analysis tools, such as Microsoft Office, or QuickBooks, and have an understanding of accounting principles, though most employers provide more training on the job. Most internships prefer students with excellent grade point averages and good standing in school, as well as reference letters from teachers. Additional qualifications include the ability to learn new material quickly, analytical thinking, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
