Internal Audit Entry Level Jobs
Internal Auditor is a highly skilled profession that requires in-depth knowledge of auditing, accounting and risk management. Internal auditors are responsible for overseeing the financial operations of an organization and ensuring that these operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. In addition to carrying out audits, the Internal Auditor also provides advice to management on issues related to regulatory compliance and internal controls.
Internal auditors are employed by both private and public organizations. They may be required to work in a variety of locations including an office environment or an industrial setting.
Job Description:
The responsibility of the Internal Auditor includes reviewing financial statements and other records maintained by an organization such as accounts payable, inventory and payroll records. The scope of audits performed by Internal Auditors vary depending upon the size of the organization being audited as well as its location within a specific industry sector. For example, an Internal Auditor working for a large multinational corporation will likely perform more extensive audits than one working for a small local business operating within just one industry sector such as manufacturing or retailing.
In addition to performing financial audits, internal auditors may also be responsible for performing operational reviews on specific departments within their assigned organization such as human resources or IT departments
