How To Become Sam’s Club Member
Sam’s Club is a membership-only retail warehouse chain. It offers members exclusive savings on merchandise, including groceries, electronics, and home goods. To become a member of Sam’s Club, you must register online at its website or in person at any location. You can also purchase an annual membership in-store or online.
Becoming a Sam’s Club member is easy! Here’s how:
- Visit the Sam’s Club website at samsclub.com and click “Become a Member” on the homepage. If you’re already on the site, click “Log In” and then click “Become a Member.” Enter your email address and password to log in, and then click “Create Account.”
- On this page, enter your address information and select whether you want to receive email notifications from Sam’s Club about special offers or other news from them (this is optional). Click “Create Account” when finished entering all necessary data (you may need to verify your email address by clicking on an activation link sent to your inbox).

How to get a Membership card?
Download the Sam’s Club app for instant access to your digital membership card.
NEW MEMBERS: The club will provide your new Membership card. Please visit the Membership Desk at your local Sam’s Club with your membership number and a government issued photo ID to receive a hard copy of your membership card.
- New memberships created online will receive a membership number once checkout is completed.
- Membership cards will not be mailed. We can’t wait to see you in one of our clubs to finalize your membership with a card and a preview of all that Sam’s has to offer.
- If you can’t make it to the club, download the Sam’s Club app and utilize your digital Membership card!
RENEWALS: When renewing a membership, you will not receive a new membership number or require a new card, but you can receive a replacement membership card by requesting one at the Membership Desk on your next visit to the club.
When do I need a new Membership Card?
If the number on your Membership card is hard to read or if your card is damaged:
- Visit the Membership Desk at any Sam’s Club location in the United States.
- To receive a replacement card, have your current Membership card or membership number and a state-issued identification card available.
- The Club will provide you a new Membership card once your account is verified.
NOTE: A new card can only be obtained at the Membership Desk in a club.
