How To Become Barre Instructor

Become a Barre Instructor

Barre is a fitness trend that has taken the world by storm. It’s not just for celebrities anymore—it’s for everyone! You can find barre studios in almost every city and even in some rural areas. The benefits of barre are numerous, including toning muscles, improving balance and flexibility, and releasing endorphins to name just a few.

If you love what barre does for your body and want to share its benefits with others, becoming a barre instructor might be the perfect career for you.

What Does It Take To Become A Barre Instructor?

To become a barre instructor, you’ll need to have experience with the fundamentals of the workout itself. Most studios will require that you’ve completed at least one or two classes before they’ll consider hiring you as an instructor. In addition to being familiar with the moves themselves, being able to explain them clearly and confidently will help set you apart from other candidates.

Achieving this certification requires that students have their own ballet slippers (or equivalent footwear), leotard/tank top/shorts/pants and tights/leggings (depending on studio).
