Becoming an English citizen is a great way to secure your future, no matter what it looks like.
If you’re planning to live in England for the rest of your life, becoming a citizen makes it easier to get a job and find housing. If you plan on moving back home after graduation, being an English citizen will make it easier for you to work as an engineer or teacher in other countries that have close ties to England.
There are two ways to become an English citizen: by birth or by investment. If you were born in England and have never lived anywhere else, then congratulations! You’re already a citizen. But if this isn’t the case for you, then there are still options available for becoming an English citizen by investment.
To become an English citizen by investment, you need at least £1 million ($1.3 million USD) in assets (such as real estate) or £2 million ($2.7 million USD) in investments (stocks and bonds). There are also other requirements, such as having lived in the country for seven years out of the last 10 years before applying for citizenship—but these are all things that can be done within five years if necessary!
