The Sims 4 is a game that offers an objective. In this case, it’s to build a successful life for your sim and hang out with friends. But what if you wanted to be a wicked witch? The objective is still to build a successful life, but you’ll need to make these decisions differently. What would happen if you went the other way? That’s where I’m going.

Let’s face it: witches have always had a bad rap. Some of it is deserved, but not all of it. Sure, some may argue that what we do is inherently evil. Others may say that witchcraft is nothing more than the innocent pastime of ladies who gather for social events and fancy luncheons. But the truth, dear reader, lies somewhere in between these extremes. Being a witch does not make you an evil person. Being a witch does not even have to mean practicing magic spells.

How To Become A Witch Sims 4

The latest content update for The Sims 4, titled Realm of Magic, is out now, and it introduces a brand-new set of spellcasting abilities for your characters. However, not everyone can become a witch in The Sims 4, as this ability can only be acquired by teens, young adults, adults, and elders.

Also, the process of becoming a spellcaster may seem a bit daunting to new players. That’s why you can save your time by following a simple step-by-step guide on how to become a witch below.

Step 1: Speak to a Sage in Magic HQ
In order to get to Magic headquarters in The Sims 4, you need to travel through a portal located at the waterfall on the edge of the new Glimmerbrook town.

When you arrive at the Magic HQ, you need to find a sage. There are three of them in the headquarters:

Simeon Silversweater: Sage of Practical Magic
L. Faba: Sage of Mischief Magic
Morgyn Ember: Sage of Untamed Magic
It doesn’t matter who you speak to first, as all of them are capable of turning your character into a witch. When you find one of them, follow these steps:

Start a conversation
Introduce yourself
Click on “Friendly Interactions”
Choose “Ask How to Use Magic”
Click on “I was born ready” option in the next menu
Step 2: Collect Magical Orbs
As a result of your conversation with one of the sages, you will be given a task to collect seven magical orbs scattered around the Magic HQ.

Go outside and find all seven orbs; they are very easy to see since the sage will give you a special ability for that purpose.

Go back to the sage and give him the orbs. As a reward, your character will be turned into a witch.

With the upcoming launch of the Realm of Magic pack, you are probably wondering how you can become a The Sims 4 spellcaster. There are a few ways to achieve this, some of them easier than the others. No matter your choice, your Sim will become a witch in no time, conjuring spells and concocting potions like there is no tomorrow.

First, you must enter the magic realm via the portal in Glimmerbrook. There are three Schools or Houses of Magic to choose from, as we have detailed in our previous The Sims 4: Realm of Magic guide. To become versed in the arts of witchcraft, you need to go to the main building, which is called the magic HQ, and find the Sage of your preference.

You can go for the Sages of the School of Practical Magic, School of Untamed Magic or School of Mischief Magic. When you have made your decision, you must click the Sage and “Ask How to Use Magic.” This will lead you to a simple quest where you have to pick up magical motes. However, you must complete this fetch quest quickly while they are visible, and make sure to grab a few extra in case you need them later. Return to the Sage to deliver your quest, and you are officially a Sims 4 spellcaster.

An alternate way to become a witch in Realm of Magic is by making a spellcaster using the Create-a-Sim system. Your new Sim will begin at the apprentice rank, which is the same rank that everyone gets after completing the quest to become a spellcaster.

The third way to become a spellcaster, according to the community’s Sims 4 Guide, is to be born one. This isn’t a difficult task, because the magic realm has a magic family that you can choose to begin with. However, you still need to do the Sage’s quest or ask your supernatural parents to teach you the ways of magic. Some Sims coming from magic families are born with the Magical Birthright, granting them extra spellcaster perks. Maxis says that these Sims will become stronger as the magical generations go by.
