There’s a scene in the first episode of the show, where one of the characters says “the only way to survive is to obey my every command” and that’s essentially what season 1 is about. If for some reason you’re interested in hearing about my experiences during this show, then this post is for you.Season 1 was an experience unlike anything else I’ve undertaken before. It was nice to know what I’m getting into when it comes to TAship, but going through it was a whole different story.
The history of tyranny is intertwined with the history of humanity. From the first stone axe heads that left homo erectus better able to crack open tough nuts and bones, to the most technologically sophisticated killing machines which have only recently been invented, tyranny has played a part in all aspects of human life, from food gathering to resource exploitation, from religious worship to government control.
Whether you’re a dictator of a small island, an elected representative, or someone who just takes charge and leads, having charisma is key in captivating your audience. Dictators employ theatrics to get their audience focused on their words. Politicians and leaders use body language, hand gestures, and voice modulation to convey authority. They know that inspiring others with passion involves more than just the words they speak.
