Graduate Entry in Medicine Netherlands is a one-to-one study programme for international students with a biomedical or life sciences background. It starts in September, and lasts for three years. The first year is basic science, the second year consists of clinical studies, and the third and final year is more specialised.
The course is taught in Dutch, though there are some English lectures available to help foreign students learn the language. You will spend your first 12 months studying in Maastricht University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, before moving on to study at various hospitals throughout the Netherlands.
After successfully completing this course, you will be awarded an MSc Degree from Maastricht University Faculty of Health Sciences and will become eligible to apply for registration as an MD (Medical Doctor) in The Netherlands.
This course is designed for you if: You have obtained a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life sciences or biomedical sciences; You are fluent in English; You are interested in becoming a doctor; You would like to study medicine abroad; You have completed at least two years of higher education before starting this course; You are able to pay tuition fees of €8,000 per semester (€26,000 per academic year);

Graduate Entry In Medicine Netherlands is a three-year integrated programme for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree with a major in Medicine, Humanities or Science (Bachelor’s degree with a major in Medicine) and wish to pursue medical studies at the University of Groningen.
Graduate Entry In Medicine Netherlands offers an accelerated curriculum with the aim of completing your medical education faster than regular admission programs. This program is aimed at students who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree program before enrolling at the University of Groningen, rather than those who are applying directly from high school or other secondary education institutions.

Admission requirements
You must hold a degree in Medicine, or a relevant life science subject.
You will also be required to have three years of work experience. There is no age limit for application, however students must not be over 30 on the first day of the course (August 1st). Applicants should have completed their medical degree before they apply. If you are an international student, your English language skills must be at least equivalent to B1 level (CEFR) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). There is no upper age limit for entry into our graduate entry medicine programme but we do require an interview test and assessment before an offer can be made.

You must have a bachelor’s degree from a university or university of applied sciences with a major in Medicine.
