Entry level jobs in gaming are a great way to get your feet wet in the industry. These positions are more about getting you familiar with the company, its structure and culture than they are about actually making a lot of money. If you’re looking for an entry level job in gaming that will allow you to make good money right away, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
The most common entry level jobs in gaming include:
-Game Tester: You’ll be testing games on various platforms and reporting back to the developers on any bugs or issues you find. This can be a very rewarding job because it allows you to see how games are made from start to finish while allowing you to interact directly with developers who might hire you later on down the road as a full time employee. It also gives you some experience working with computers which is always helpful!
-Social Media Manager: This position requires someone who has excellent communication skills and an eye for design. You’ll be managing social media accounts for companies like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as well as creating graphics for them using Photoshop or Illustrator software programs (or similar). This job involves lots of research so make sure you’re up to speed on what’s happening.
