Entry Level Jobs In Baseball
Baseball is one of the most popular sports in the U.S., and it’s also one of the most lucrative. The average salary for a Major League Baseball player in 2017 was $4 million, and even players on the bench can make hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. But even though there are so many opportunities for professional baseball players, it takes a lot to get there—and if you’re just starting out, you have to start somewhere.
Here are some entry level jobs in baseball:
-Ball Boy/Girl: Ball boys/girls help set up the field before games and take care of equipment during games and practices. They also help with cleanup after games and practices are over. This job requires good physical fitness because you’ll be moving around constantly throughout the day. It’s also important that you’re attentive to detail, as well as organized enough to keep track of all your equipment at once. This job isn’t paid, but you’ll get free admission to all home games!
-Scorekeeper: Scorekeepers keep track of stats such as how many hits each player has gotten over their career, how many runs per inning were scored by each team during play time (called “innings”), how many.
