In order to gain entry into medical school in the UK, you will need to meet certain minimum entry requirements. These include a high level of academic achievement and specific skills such as self-discipline and communication. The accepted standard for all candidates is usually a First Class Honours degree from an approved university or institute.
You will also need to pass the UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT), which is an important part of your application process as it provides universities with information about your ability to study medicine effectively if accepted onto their course. The most important thing is to apply to the right course. You should apply to the course that is right for you, and make sure it’s the one where you’ll be happy studying. If there are courses that require a lot more work than others, then it doesn’t matter how easily they’re accepted; if they’re not right for you, then there’s no point trying them in the first place!
If you’re applying for multiple courses, make sure that your grades are high enough for all of them – otherwise there’ll be no point applying because it will just waste time and money.
