Dental Hygiene Salary In Texas

Dental Hygiene Salary in Texas

The dental hygiene profession is growing, and Texas is home to many people who work in the field. But what’s the average dental hygienist salary in Texas?

Dental hygienists’ salaries vary widely across the country, but they tend to be higher in states with a greater number of dental schools—and Texas has more than any other state. In fact, it has four: Baylor College of Dentistry, University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M College of Dentistry, and University of Houston College of Dentistry.

The state also has many dental hygiene programs that are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). These include programs at Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU), Lubbock Christian University (LCU), Midwestern State University (MSU), University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNTHSC), and many others.
