Coursesfree Online Plant Identification Course
Introduction
Are you ready to go on a nature walk? I recently took an online course called Botany: Plant Identification and Ecology that’s free to the public. The class is offered by Coursera, an online learning platform. While the course was originally designed for college students at The University of British Columbia, it’s open to anyone who wants to learn more about their local flora. Once I completed the course, I learned how to identify trees and plants in my neighborhood. If you’re interested in becoming one of those people who can point out all the various species in your area, this is a great place to start!
Why Should You Take This Course?
You should take this course if you’re interested in learning more about the world around you. As an introduction to botany, it is a great way to learn about plants and nature. You will learn how to identify different types of plants and what they are used for. The course also covers how plants grow, how they interact with other organisms, as well as some important historical facts about their uses throughout history.
Here’s What Will Be Covered In The Botany Course
The course will cover the following topics:
- What are trees and plants?
- How to identify trees and plants.

This online botany course will help you identify trees and plants in your neighborhood.
Trees and plants are all around us. They can be found in our parks, our backyards and even on the side of the road. For example, did you know that there are over 50 different kinds of trees in your neighborhood? Did you know that some trees have fruits and flowers while others have leaves? Did you know that some plants grow only one season per year while others grow two or three seasons a year!
This online botany course will help you identify trees and plants in your neighborhood.
Conclusion
I’m grateful for the opportunity to teach this course, and I look forward to seeing you in it!
